Amy M. McDowell

Amy McDowell joined the National Center for State Courts in 2007.  She is an Education Program Manager with the Institute for Court Management, responsible for managing and coordinating the ICM Fellows Program and serving as faculty for ICM’s national and partnership courses.  Amy also partners with the Knowledge and Information Services, providing assistance in the areas of alternative dispute resolution, ethics, and human resources management, and serves as an Editor of the annual publication Future Trends in State Courts.  She holds a J.D. from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law, a M.P.A. from Old Dominion University, and a B.A. from the College of William and Mary.  Additionally, she is an active member of the Virginia State Bar, as well as an adjunct faculty member with the College of Business and Public Administration at Old Dominion University.  Amy is a Fellow of the Institute for Court Management.
