Michelle White

Michelle T. White, MPA, is a Principal Court Management Consultant with the National Center for State Courts specializing in problem-solving courts, probation and alternative sentencing programs. Since joining NCSC in 2012, major areas of project work include:

  • Evaluations of adult drug courts;
  • Cost benefit analysis of an adult drug court;
  • Evaluations of a family drug court;
  • Assessment of swift and certain sanction court;
  • Evaluation of local probation agencies;
  • Evaluation of veterans court; and
  • Evaluation of juvenile diversion program.

Ms. White has over 15 years of experience working in the criminal justice system. She has been a Program Manager for an adult drug court, a Criminal Justice Planner in a local probation department, a state probation and parole officer and a police officer. Ms. White has held numerous leadership roles at the state level, including President of the Virginia Drug Court Association, she was appointed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia to the Statewide Drug Treatment Court Advisory Board, and she was appointed by Virginia’s Governor McDonnell to serve on the Governor’s Substance Services Council.

Ms. White holds a Master’s in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s in Administration of Justice both from George Mason University.
