General Counsel Committee

The General Counsel Committee of the National Center for State Courts provides an opportunity for collaboration between general counsels of America’s leading corporations and the NCSC on the work and programs that improve the administration of justice.

The Committee creates and participates in opportunities for dialogue on judicial reform issues among state court leaders, the business community, and the public. Recently, focus has been given to issues such as electronic discovery, mass torts, jury system reform, and improvements in judicial elections. The National Center for State Courts is grateful to all of the members of our General Counsel Committee for their generosity and valuable participation.  For more information on corporate giving please email Katherine Dabney or call her at (757) 259-1527.

The General Counsel Committee holds an annual meeting each fall in Washington, D.C. Members are also invited to attend the annual Justice Roundtable event which brings together state chief justices, members of the NCSC Board of Directors, and the General Counsel and Lawyers Committees to discuss issues of common concern to business and court communities. The 2012 annual meeting and events will be held on November 15th and 16th in Washington, D.C.
