VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) Courts Assistance
The VAWA Courts Assistance project is a collaboration between the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) and the Conference of State Court Administrators (COSCA), with funding from the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW). The project provides tools to encourage innovative use of Violence Against Women STOP Project funds by courts. You can learn more about the project here.
Project Passport aims to improve recognition and enforcement of orders of protection within and between states/tribes by encouraging states to adopt a recognizable cover sheet for orders of protection (i.e. to include common elements). A component of the project is the promotion and use of XML technology to improve the comparability of data entered in protection order registries across states.
