IEPDs

Request Remedy (zip archive): The Initial Request for Remedy is a formal request for a court or judicial agency to establish a non-custodial parent’s ongoing obligation of support of children, typically in the form of a Petition or Application. This GJXDM-compliant IEPD addresses specifically those Requests filed by State Child Support agencies and their local partners (e.g., family divisions of prosecuting attorneys’ offices).
Support Order (zip archive): This GJXDM-compliant IEPD addresses Child Support Orders from a court or judicial agency that establish a non-custodial parent’s ongoing obligation of support of children, which can include financial obligations, medical insurance coverage, and other terms and conditions.

Child Welfare Artifacts

Adjudication Order (zip archive): Developed by the Data Modeling Committee of the Child Welfare Roadmap’s Data-Exchange Working Group, this NIEM-compliant IEPD provides courts and child welfare agencies with a data-exchange standard for the court’s order after an Adjudication Hearing. The IEPD also includes a stylesheet.
Court Report (zip archive):The Court Report is a document that is typically prepared by the Child Welfare Agency. This Information Exchange Package Documentation (IEPD) was developed in conjunction with the [Service Plan]. It focuses on reporting to the Court progress on the various tasks assigned in the Service Plan. Additionally, it provides a greater level of detail about the child including medical and psychological history and the child's history of placement.
Dependency Petition (zip archive): This NIEM-compliant IEPD provides courts and child welfare agencies with a data-exchange standard for the initial petition that alleges abuse or neglect. The IEPD also includes a stylesheet.
Hearing Notification (zip archive): This specification is designed to be used as a hearing notification mechanism between the Court and the Child Welfare Agency or any other parties associated with the case. The notification may be of a newly scheduled upcoming hearing, notification that a hearing location or date/time has changed, or to cancel a previously scheduled hearing.
Placement Change Notification (zip archive): This specification is designed as a mechanism to notify the Court that the current placement of a child has changed.
Representative Notification (zip archive):This specification is designed as a mechanism to notify all parties that representation has changed. This change may involve the addition of a representative (e.g., GAL, Child's Attorney, Parent's Attorney, Agency Attorney) or the removal of a representative.
Note that it is recommended that the start and end dates for this representation be included in the data exchange. This will assist agencies in documenting the time of performance for contract attorney's.
The specification allows either a person or an organization to be assigned to a case. For example, often the Guardian ad Litem organization will be assigned to a case rather than a specific staff member within the GAL's office.
Service Plan (zip archive): The Service Plan is a document that is typically prepared by the Child Welfare Agency and is approved/denied by the Court. This Information Exchange Package Documentation (IEPD) was developed in conjunction with the [Court Report]. It focuses on describing the goals, objectives and tasks that are assigned to the child and their family for accomplishment of the indicated goal.

NCSC assisted the State of Vermont Judiciary with a set of exchanges in support of a Juvenile Enterprise Exchange Model. Highest priority exchanges were selected and IEPDs were developed based on documents involved in each of those exchanges. Where appropriate, multiple documents were combined into a single IEPD, resulting in the following set of nine IEPDs:
