The Arizona Court of Appeals, Division I, issued Administrative Order 2014-05 to establish stringent requirements for extension requests on briefs and supplementing the record.
Alaska Court Rule 503.5 (c) (1) and (2) also establishes requirements that non-routine briefing extension requests up to 30 additional days for opening and appellate’s briefs be based upon a showing of “diligence and substantial need” and that requests for longer periods must be based upon a showing of “extraordinary and compelling circumstances.”
