Missouri Court of Appeals, Judge Gary W. Lynch to Serve on the Board of Directors of national court organization

Williamsburg, Va. (July 25, 2014) – Judge Gary W. Lynch of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, has been selected to serve on the National Center for State Court's (NCSC) Board of Directors for a three-year-term.  

Judge Lynch is immediate past president of the Council of Chief Judges of the State Courts of Appeal. He was appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals in 2006. Previously, Judge Lynch served a three-year-term as associate circuit judge of Polk County in the 30th Judicial Circuit. Judge Lynch is actively involved in the Supreme Court of Missouri’s efforts to promote civics education and to reengineer its court automation. He received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and elementary education from Southwest Baptist University, and received his juris doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

The National Center for State Courts, headquartered in Williamsburg, Va., is a nonprofit court organization dedicated to improving the administration of justice by providing leadership and service to the state courts. Founded in 1971 by the Conference of Chief Justices and Chief Justice of the United States Warren E. Burger, NCSC provides education, training, technology, management, and research services to the nation’s state courts.
