NCSC is pleased to host the Third Annual Conference of the Council of Language Access Coordinators (CLAC) in Santa Fe, N.M. The conference will take place May 17 - 20, 2015.

Language access managers, program managers, and court professionals are invited to attend and engage in issues that address access to justice and its interconnectivity to all facets of language access.

At last year's conference, the curriculum was highlighted by dynamic interactive sessions and many discussion and networking opportunities. This year’s conference will not only build upon the successful aspects of the 2014 conference, but will go further by incorporating new sessions that will address today's issues and assist court professionals in enhancing their state language access program. This year, returning by popular demand are Legal Snapshots and Express Lessons. The issues that will be presented include video remote interpreting, immigration, Native American issues and other hot topics.

This year's theme is "Building Bridges." The program will focus on how program managers can maximize their working relationship with the courts; interpreters; court users; community organizations; and other program managers across the country to achieve common goals and ensure access to justice.

Beyond the curriculum, we will be taking full advantage of Santa Fe and all of the culture and beauty that the city has to offer. Santa Fe was named the best small city to visit by Conde Nast and the number one cultural getaway by Travel + Leisure. Also, due to the popularity of "Music Night" we will be hosting an evening of fun where everyone can showcase their talents or just sit back and enjoy music.

The 2015 CLAC Conference is hosted by NCSC and the New Mexico Judiciary.
