Description

Understanding and assessing systemic change plays a key role in ensuring courts are delivering equal justice to all. This three-part webinar series, “Jumpstarting Your State’s Pretrial Improvement,” takes a look at the history and legal foundations of pretrial release, along with research, challenges and opportunities associated with this method of supervision.

In this final session, “Implementation Challenges and Opportunities Roundtable,” legal system professionals from a few jurisdictions will share the different paths their jurisdictions took to improve the fairness and effectiveness of their pretrial systems. Their presentation will be followed by a roundtable discussion among participants of the issues you face and the tools you have or lack to address these issues in your quest to improve your pretrial systems. Faculty will be available to provide practical suggestions for getting started on your path to improvement.

This webinar is presented by the Blueprint for Racial Justice Systemic Change work group.
