Description | The ability to pay court fines and fees can present barriers to ensuring equal justice for all. This two-part series, “Financial Sanctions Reform,” discusses how community relationships and new approaches to payment can promote fair justice. This second session, “Fair Justice for All: Recommendations for Imposing and Enforcing Financial Sanctions,” will utilize the Arizona Fair Justice for All report and recommendations to provide specific recommendations for making the imposition of financial sanctions fair and convenient. The session will also explain the Phoenix Compliance Assistance Program (CAP), that allows a person in default of a financial sanction to get reinstated, their driver’s license returned and placed on a reasonable financial plan. An evaluation of this program will be made available. The program will outline other changes to rules, statutes and practices that were made in Arizona. This webinar is presented by the Blueprint for Racial Justice Systemic Change work group. Register for the April 27 webinar today! Panelists:
