Rochelle Klempner is an attorney in New York State Unified Court System's Office of Court Administration. She primarily works on access to justice-related initiatives and projects. Over the past three decades, she has authored numerous plain language forms, webpages and publications. She contends that she is still learning how to write in plain language. Rochelle serves as staff counsel to the New York State Permanent Commission on Access to Justice and the Judicial Institute on Professionalism in the Law. She is a member of the court system's committees on Plain Language, Translation (Chair), Forms, Family Court E-filing and Signage.
