The National Center for State Courts turns 50 this year!
Turning 50 is enough of a reason to celebrate. But as we reflect on our recent achievements, there are many more reasons to celebrate NCSC.
Thanks to a generous "Birthday Match," we have received a challenge of $50,000 to match new gifts to NCSC - dollar for dollar! If you have never made a gift to support NCSC, there is no better time to do so. If you have supported NCSC in the past, we ask for your continued support to close out our 50th year strong.
Gifts to NCSC allow us to swiftly and nimbly pivot to address the most pressing issues facing our courts, without the need to secure new funding to begin urgent work. Your support matters. Every gift makes a difference, please consider joining in the celebration and making a gift today.
Yes, I want to be part of the celebration!
When NCSC was founded in 1971, who could have imagined the 50 years that would follow? And yet, the unique challenges affecting our state courts through the years have given the National Center for State Courts an opportunity to leverage our experience and expertise to provide solutions when they're needed most.
Since March 2020, state courts have looked to NCSC for assistance in developing best practices and tools to address the Covid-19 pandemic and issues caused by facility closures and a remote workforce. Weekly webinars provided insights on activities including virtual hearings, remote jury selection, courthouse reopenings, pandemic-related backlogs, and a looming eviction crisis. NCSC was called on by federal leaders to testify, work on bills and convene state court leaders to address reforms for fines and fees and guardianships - while also brainstorming solutions for the eviction crisis.
Meanwhile, the work you've come to know us for - case statistics, training, technical assistance, judicial salary surveys, weighted case load studies, case flow management solutions and jury assistance - continued, as we provided expertise to 24 countries to strengthen the rule of law around the world.
Whether you've attended a webinar, conference or class, or have partnered with NCSC on a project, we are grateful for your support of our mission to strengthen the rule of law and improve the administration of justice in state courts and courts around the world.
Gifts to NCSC are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
