| Monitoring Information: | Missouri documents court performance relevant to time standards by producing computer-generated reports with information compiled at both local and statewide levels. Reports/summaries with time standards are received by all judges, the local court administrator, the state court administrator, and some AOC staff and are reviewed quarterly and semiannually. |
| Notes: | The age of a case at resolution is used to determine compliance with the standards. The only time that is subtracted from the age of the case is for pending criminal warrants. The final standard is set at less than 100 percent because it is recognized that litigation involving extraordinary circumstances may require additional time. The Supreme Court Judicial Education Committee provides information and training on effective case management in the judicial orientation training and other programs. The Circuit Court Budget Committee provides assistance to courts by providing temporary staff assistance or providing temporary judicial assistance through the judge transfer program and the senior judge program. All Missouri trial courts are now on the statewide case management system which provides tools to the local courts to assist with managing and scheduling cases to stay within the time standards. It also provides management reports on the age of cases pending and dispose. Reports/summaries are published in the annual Missouri Judicial Report and are also available to the public on the Web site |
