Recognizing the importance of threats posed to state courts by cyberattacks, the Conference of Chief Justices and Conference of State Court Administrators adopted “Resolution 2 in Support of Increased Cybersecurity Practices in State Courts.”

To increase awareness of and build actions plans against these threats, NCSC offers webinars, resource bulletins and consultation. More information will be coming in March 2022.

Cybersecurity Basics for Courts

Cybersecurity threats are a reality for all organizations, public and private. In spite of good prevention efforts, every court will almost certainly face a cybersecurity incident including data breach or cyberattack. This paper provides a basic explanation of prevention techniques and the preparations necessary for court managers to respond quickly and effectively in the event of a cybersecurity incident.
