Chief Justice Randall Shepard

In March 2012, Indiana’s Chief
Justice Randall Shepard officially retired
from the Supreme Court, making history 
not only through his actions, but through his
longtime commitment. Being inaugurated into
the role of Chief on March 4, 1987, his 25 years
of service as Chief makes him the longest serving
Chief Justice since the formation of the
Conference of Chief Justices in 1949.
