Within the Case Management System (CMS) ecosystem, Remote Audio-Video (AV) enables people to observe or participate in a court proceeding from another location by video. Depending on the purpose of the proceeding and the reason for having video access, the judge may interact with the defendant in a jail, a witness may be testifying remotely, or an interpreter may be doing language interpretation remotely.
Remote AV may include the following capabilities:
- Video arraignment and hearing support
- Video conferencing
- Remote interpreting
