Within the Case Management System (CMS) ecosystem, the Search Engine component searches for and identifies items in one or more data structures based on the search items provided.
- The ability to search data structure maintained by the court based on:
- Key identifier
- Character
- Word
- Word string
- Data object meta data, including but not limited to:
- Date and date range
- Data object type
- Agent creating or updating the data object
- Geolocation
- Use of various search strategies, such as:
- Exact match
- Inclusive match
- Phonetic match
- Exclusion
- Semantic context
- The ability to present the results of the search in one or more formats
- List with identifying metadata
- Thumb nails
- XML and other structured machine-readable formats
- The ability to filter, sort, and otherwise reorganize the search results.
