Webinar: An overview of the JTC’s Cybersecurity Basics

-

To be covered: The JTC’s Cybersecurity Basics for Courts, the MS-ISAC and other resources available to courts

Unlike webinars, cyberattacks don’t happen on a schedule. That’s why you should carve out some time now to prepare for the unexpected. Join leaders from the Joint Technology Committee (JTC) for the second in a series of webinars that will get you ready should your court suffer a data breach or a ransomware attack. Take advantage of this series to get prepared, and plan as if an attack is inevitable.

Part 1 of the JTC Cyber Monday series included tales from the frontlines, where courts that were attacked shared their stories.  Part 2 will include an overview of the JTC Resource Bulletin Cybersecurity Basics for Courts, covering incident prevention, assembling and managing an Incident Response Team and developing a cybersecurity action plan.  Information will also be provided on the Center for Internet Security and its Multi State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC).  The mission of the MS- ISAC is to improve the overall cybersecurity posture of the nation's state, local, tribal and territorial governments through focused cyber threat prevention, protection, response and recovery.  We hope you will join us for this important and timely discussion.

The panel will be moderated by JTC Co-Chair Kevin J. Bowling and will include court leaders currently serving as JTC members.

Additional Cyber Monday sessions will include:

  • April 25 – Cyber Insurance – Should you pay the ransom?
  • May 23 – What’s in your cyber COOP?
