Local Stakeholders Drive Recruitment
The Massachusetts team and local partners developed recruitment strategies in early planning meetings.
- The team and its partners recruited community stakeholders in Chicopee and Springfield through personal networks. Partners reached out via phone and email to invite stakeholders to the engagement sessions. Stakeholders included representatives from community organizations, behavioral health treatment providers, law enforcement, and legal professionals.
- The Massachusetts team and court actors in Holyoke developed English and Spanish flyers to invite the general public and stakeholders to their engagement. The flyers were distributed to over 200 local community organizations in Holyoke. The Massachusetts leadership team also created and disseminated a media advisory about the Holyoke event. Partnering court actors supplemented these efforts by reaching out to personal and professional networks.
