Texas: Outreach and Online Survey

Partnerships and Online Survey

The Texas team partnered with local governments in their target communities to promote their engagement events through local media outlets, email blasts, and social media. The team also contacted an area state university (Sul Ross State University) to spread word among students and faculty about their Alpine event.

Incentives

The team offered participants a $75 gift card and light meals to attract participants to their engagement sessions. This was done to help broaden representation from the wider community.

Recruitment Survey

Additionally, the Texas team developed a short online survey to assess initial experiences and views of the court system and seek interest in the community events.

  • The Texas team and their partners promoted the online survey through community connections and posted flyers at public gathering points directing people to the recruitment survey.
  • Members of the public interested in participating in an engagement event submitted their contact information via the survey and were later invited to an engagement session via e-mail. The team then provided information to prospective participants about the community sessions.

Other Recruitment Materials

In addition to the recruitment survey, the Texas team used flyers, Facebook posts, and press releases to publicize their events and recruit interested community members.
