Within the Case Management System (CMS) ecosystem, Electronic Filing Service Provider supports an online capability for parties to electronically file data and documents with the Court on new or existing cases.

  1. Registration of filers and people to be notified on transaction status (e.g., attorneys, paralegals, legal secretaries)
  2. Ability to capture data from the filer and electronically transmit it to the Court’s e-filing manager (EFM)
  3. Ability to upload document(s) from the filer and electronically transmit it to the court’s EFM
  4. Ability to facilitate the capture of payment information for court filing fees
  5. Transaction history of activities performed between the filer and court
  6. Ability to track status of a filing (e.g., filed to court, received by court, accepted/rejected by Court)
  7. Status and case filing notification
  8. Ability to read court policy file for business rules and court standards
  9. Training to filers on how to use the system
  10. Ability to transform documents from native format (e.g., Word, TIFF) to court-defined format (typically PDF) as needed
  11. Ability to provide electronic service capabilities
  12. Ability to capture and settle funds
  13. Smart forms
  14. Access to the case file (full or user submitted documents)
