Former Minnesota judiciary IT leader to join National Center for State Courts

Williamsburg, Va. (March 1, 2023) – The National Center for State Courts (NCSC) has hired Shay Cleary as a managing director in its Court Consulting Services division. Cleary will manage a team of consultants and project associates and provide leadership in the areas of court technology, cybersecurity and facilities design, security, and management.

Cleary comes to NCSC from Mission Critical Partners, a firm focused broadly on government data and infrastructure management in the public safety, justice, and utility sectors. There he served as a technology consultant and senior project manager.

Cleary has held several information technology positions during his 20-year tenure with the Minnesota Judicial Branch and State Court Administrator’s Office. As deputy director, areas of responsibility included infrastructure, project management, client technology and end-user support, IT procurement, business analysis and IT process improvement. Cleary also led Minnesota’s effort to migrate courts statewide to an electronic environment.

Cleary will start with NCSC on March 29, 2023.
