Kristen Trebil-Halbersma

Kristen Trebil-Halbersma works for the NCSC’s Court Consulting Services Division as a Managing Director. Her work is focused primarily in the following areas: court governance, leadership, coaching and development, case flow and workload management, court space and security and technology.

Ms. Trebil-Halbersma previously served as the Minnesota Judicial Branch’s Court Services Director.  In this role Kristen oversaw the Court Services Division of the State Court Administrator's Office, including the areas of Business Process and Education, Research and Evaluation, Self-Represented Litigant Program, Child Support Magistrates, Court Payment Center Call Center and Citation Entry, Programs and Ancillary Services including Court Interpreter Programs, Psychological Services, Jury Management, and the Children’s Justice Initiative.  

Ms. Trebil-Halbersma’s career with the Minnesota Judicial Branch began in 2015 as a County Court Administrator in Carver County and was promoted to Court Services Director in 2019. She also served as the Program Administrator at the Minnesota Guardian Ad Litem Board, working there in different capacities for 11 years.

Ms. Trebil-Halbersma received her master’s degree from St. Cloud University and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
