Building AI readiness in state courts
This month's TRI/NCSC AI Policy Consortium webinar focuses on NCSC's "AI Readiness for State Courts" guide, a new set of resources to help courts successfully integrate AI into their operations. The guide includes resources for courts along the spectrum of AI maturity, from courts that are just beginning to think about AI to courts that have already implemented AI projects.
The AI Readiness guide was developed by court leaders, court practitioners on the cutting edge of AI implementation, and experts in court technology, psychology, computer science, design, and law. In this webinar, panelists from the AI Readiness workgroup will provide a demonstration of the guide, share how it was made, and discuss how it fits into the broader context of AI-related resources for the courts.
As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Use the AI Readiness guide to identify where their court is on the AI readiness spectrum.
- Identify tools and resources that can help their court improve AI readiness.
Panelists:
- Andrea Miller, senior research associate and project director, NCSC
- Siva Appavoo, IT program manager, New Jersey Courts
- Sofía Bosch Gómez, assistant professor of art + design, Northeastern University
- Brittany Johnson-Matthews, assistant professor of computer science, George Mason University
- Aaron Judy, chief of innovation & emerging technologies, Maricopa County, Arizona
