AI sandbox
The NCSC AI Sandbox offers a secure, hands-on environment for judges and court professionals to familiarize themselves with AI tools.
Created by the TRI/NCSC AI Policy Consortium for Law & Courts, the sandbox provides a platform to explore and experiment with artificial intelligence applications in courts and justice systems.
Whether you're curious or already testing, you can try prompts, develop ideas, and work with documents — all while keeping your data within NCSC's protected Microsoft Cloud.
As we add options to experiment with other tools, you may choose to exit our secure cloud to try commercial products. You will receive a notification message when leaving our environment.
Why should courts use it?
While our GenAI tool is based on ChatGPT, the sandbox is built for court professionals with privacy and confidentiality at its core.
- Experiment safely: Your work stays in an NCSC-controlled environment.
- Build skills: Learn to get useful results from AI at any experience level.
- Explore freely: Use it for court work or personal projects.
- Access to resources: We provide a prompt library with example prompts you can leverage to get started using the assistant as a tool on a topic.
