More than one way to map a state: Successfully scaling SIM statewide
The Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) is a conceptual framework designed to guide community responses to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders within the criminal justice system. SIM workshops identify strengths and gaps in resources, services, and processes along each intercept, and communities develop an action plan to focus on diverting people with behavioral health disorders from the criminal justice system.
This webinar will feature the experiences of three states (Kentucky, Massachusetts, and Missouri) that have been working to roll out SIM statewide. State panelists will discuss their state's overall goals, implementation strategies, challenges, and successes, as well as how they're supporting new community partnerships, measuring impact, and planning next steps.
