Jill Roberts is committed to helping courts better serve people without lawyers, people with disabilities, and people with limited English proficiency. 

She has particular expertise in court navigators and self-help center assistance. She works closely with judicial officers, court administrators, and other justice stakeholders on delivery of self-help services and other court reform efforts.  

Prior to joining NCSC, she worked to expand access to all court users in Illinois as deputy director of the Access to Justice Division of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts. Also in her career, Roberts worked as a law school public interest career advisor, legal aid lawyer and intern coordinator, and judicial law clerk for three immigration court judges. 

She obtained her juris doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law and bachelor's degree from Saint Mary's College.
