Lonni Kyhos

Lonni Kyhos partners with state and local courts, access-to-justice commissions, legal services providers, and others on collaborative initiatives that expand access to justice. 

Her work includes court navigator projects, plain language and clear communication, self-help centers, civil justice initiatives, self-represented litigant resources, court forms, and regulatory reform.  

Before joining NCSC, Kyhos served as senior program manager for the Maryland Judiciary, where she directed a statewide network of court help centers providing free civil legal assistance to self-represented litigants. She previously held attorney positions with Maryland Legal Aid, Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, and Rising for Justice. She also serves as an assistant professor in the Legal Studies Institute at Anne Arundel Community College. 

A graduate of Drexel University, Kyhos has a juris doctor from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law and a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is a Certified Court Executive and Certified Court Manager.
