For more than 20 years, Violaine Autheman has helped courts lead transformational reforms to improve the efficiency and accessibility of services through innovative, high-impact justice programs.

Responsible for our international programs in North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, she delivers change plans and technical expertise in court administration, case management, access to justice, public accountability, financial crimes, and digital transformation. 

Autheman has led our work on federally funded programs in Kosovo, Bangladesh, and Tunisia. She is a published author on court excellence, judicial councils, judicial independence, judicial corruption, and other rule-of-law reform topics. 

Prior to joining NCSC, she was a rule-of-law advisor at the International Foundation for Election Systems (IFES). Autheman holds a law degree from the University of Paris X in France and a master of laws from American University Washington College of Law. She is a native French speaker and proficient in Spanish, Albanian, and Turkish.
