About the Award
The National Center for State Courts (NCSC) presented the first G. Thomas Munsterman Award for Jury Innovation at the National Conference on Pattern Jury Instructions in Columbus, Ohio, on April 17, 2008. This award recognizes states, local courts, individuals, or other organizations that have made significant improvements or innovations in jury procedures, operations, or practices.
The award is named for G. Thomas Munsterman, the founder and former director of NCSC’s Center for Jury Studies and an internationally renowned innovator in jury systems and research.
