Danielle Hirsch

Danielle Elyce Hirsch's breadth of experience brings innovation and creativity to effective policy and procedure solutions that expand access to justice for all.
She and her team partner with state and local courts on a wide range of projects that expand access to justice for parties without lawyers, people with limited English proficiency, and individuals with disabilities in need of accommodations in state and local courts. An extension of this work was the Tiny Chats video series, which she co-created and co-hosted.
Hirsch and her team also support our Eviction Diversion Initiative and CORA internship and clerkship project, along with Conference of Chief Justices/Conference of State Court Administrators projects including the Committee on Legal Education and Admissions Reform (CLEAR) and National Task Force on Fees, Fines, and Pretrial Practices 2.0.
Prior to joining NCSC, her experience included assistant director of Civil Justice Division of the Administrative Office of Illinois, executive director of the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Access to Justice, and director of advocacy at The Chicago Bar Foundation. Hirsch also developed and managed Illinois JusticeCorps.
