Grace Spulak

Grace Spulak identifies opportunities for greater access to justice through remote proceedings and other solutions that improve court accessibility for self-represented litigants, people with disabilities, and non-native English speakers.
She directs our Court Opportunity Recruitment for All (CORA) project and has expertise in fines, fees, and pretrial reform. Spulak has developed guides and toolkits for courts on access issues and frequently speaks at national forums.
She previously served as the director of the New Mexico Commission on Access to Justice where she worked on innovations in civil justice for self-represented litigants, including overseeing New Mexico's eviction diversion program, developing court navigator pilots, and providing training and technical assistance to self-help centers across the state. Spulak has additional experience in child welfare and child advocacy and was an adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law.
She earned her juris doctor from Harvard Law School.
