Since joining NCSC in 2008, Nora Sydow has led a variety of projects in over 30 states to improve court organization, processes, and operations.

Her work has focused especially on improving child welfare systems and strengthening how state courts respond to cases involving vulnerable populations.She has directed all of NCSC's pandemic and public health projects since 2014 and serves as lead staff to the Conference of Chief Justices and Conference of State Court Administrators' Pandemic Rapid Response Team (RRT).

Sydow received her J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law and dual bachelor's degrees from Old Dominion University. She is a Fellow of the Institute for Court Management.
